In at the deep end....
So, after reading the book from cover to cover many times, as well as playing with all the bits and pieces on this website, I've decided to roll my sleeves up and have a go!

Darn, it's a steep learning curve. I've started up the website (www.BuyToLetToolkit.com) just for fun, and to see how it all works. If it sinks, at least I'll learn from the mistakes ready for the next one.

If Ajay can get a new website up and running in two hours, he must be pretty well practised at it. Even though I've read the Website Wizard eBook through over and over again, it was still a slog. Thank goodness you can go into their chatroom and get immediate help from a tech. It then takes 48 hours so I'm told for the website to go live.

The Affiliate thing slows it down still further. I've filled in a few forms and get the "We'll let you know" email, but it's all about waiting for the go-ahead. Even Google Adsense say they'll let me know "within a week" if I can have an account or not. It seems that you have to have the website out there for at least a week before you can stick any adverts on it or sell any Affiliates' goodies. What a waste.

It also seems like there's a whole sub-industry now based around web traffic, AdWords, and so on. If I invested in all the *essential* books, software, and everything else, I'd never make so much as a copper coin!

Still, it's an interesting exercise! I'll repost when I've made a bit of progress. If anyone has some tips for a newbie, please share 'em - I can't be the only one, can I?

Danny.
